Josie is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and member of Dietitians Australia (DA). She completed her Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Canberra, and a Bachelor of Biotechnology at the University of Tasmania.
Josie's experience includes placements and internships at a variety of settings around Australia. She has experience in the nutritional management of a range of health conditions, with an interest in irritable bowel syndrome and womens health issues. Josie is Monash FODMAP trained dietitian who has completed and passed the Monash University Online FODMAP Course.
Josie enjoys helping people gain a greater understanding of the role nutrition plays in their health and sense of well being, using evidence-based nutrition. She likes to promote a balanced approach, empowering people with options for their food choices which are delicious and enjoyable, as well as good for them.
Apart from food and health, her passions include hiking, skiing, and walking her dog Henry.
Josie also volunteers her time as the vice-chair (2022) and previously as sponsorship coordinator (2019-2021) for the Tasmanian branch of Dietitians Australia’s Engagement and Development Committee.
